Here’s an update on our animatic! Some key adjustments since we last spoke:
We’ve removed the opening hallway scene so we’ll start immediately in the lab.
We’ve refined the microscopic scene. We now have our cancer cell being treated.
We’ve changed the city scene to be situated more in a neighbourhood area. It now feels less like a downtown core and more like it could be situated anywhere in Canada. Additionally the elements in the scene that we will be highlighting with ‘blockification’ include the rail car, bike lane, cross walks and trees along the boulevard.
We’ve adjusted the end scene with the prosthetic. The designer’s space is now gone and the leg will form in the child’s bedroom. We’ve also introduced a second pair of children’s shoes running out of scene to introduce the idea of ‘exploration and play’.
The end sequence has our full frame engineers.

Next Steps
Once generally aligned on the above, we will proceed into the animation phase. This is where we’ll begin to fine tune all moving elements, transitions and scenes. We’ll also begin to light, shade and render our scenes with increased visual fidelity.
